Session 79 - Deeper, Deeper
Dwertern suddenly reappears panting through the doorway to the room of the slaughter. He apparently got some of the way back to town before uttering obscenities and double-timing it back to his team.
He joins in time to see a small fireball erupt near his friends, and then to see Ibis fly through the air to its source, Celerion fly over land to its source, and Peccable wandering over to see the show. Wasn't much to see though. Some lowly mage kicked stupid by Celerion, run through by Ibis, revived by Peccable, and charmed by Jill. Situation normal. Effective though.
Divine Fortune, having cleared the level, go about checking out the local decor. They quickly find Mara in cells at the back, and see that Belondre is re-united with his friend. Kosef, the husband, is overjoyed when Taedor pops by Elversult with them both (and some other rich people in rags) to drop them home.
Dwertern bashes doors in looking for treasure, while Taedor sends Prying Eyes upstairs to see where the head cultists are. Having seen nothing, Ibis heads up for a look-see, but is quickly attacked by equally invisible foes. He retreats after hiding in shadows, where their magic cannot penetrate.
