Ibis
Ibis has a very strange appearance. He looks like a human except that he has pointed ears, red eyes and pale green scaly skin. This and a general feeling of uneasiness when you are near him which means strangers avoid him. He also bears a red mark like a brand or birthmark of a cobra on his left shoulder. In public he prefers to wrap himself in a dark cloak to hide his appearance. He looks quick and lively, capable of striking out suddenly and speaks in an intelligent and economical fashion. Ibis has a fascination with the Weave and, in particular, the shadowy arts of illusion and darkness.
From what you have learnt he is plane-touched, a Tiefling. Ibis claims to be a descendant of the Mulhorondi god Set. History tells you that Set murdered Osiris The Just and was cast out into the desert. Set is an outcast god and followed by those who seek to seek darkness and evil or are attracted to law, magic, the scalykind and air. Hatred dominates.
Ibis was raised in secret by Set Clerics who hid him from the world, particularly the Red Wizards of Thay who they feared would use him for their own devices. He knows nothing of his true origin but it is clear that the mark of Set is upon him. Ibis has no wish to follow Set or the clerics evil ways and managed to escape using the skills of trickery he acquired while in the secret temple. He fled to the Inner Sea from Mulhorand or Thay (he is not sure which) and was a deck hand aboard a merchant ship before it was taken by pirates…..
